What you will learn

Sharing insight into the specific pitching process for storyboarders looking to work for an animation studio, Kayvon will highlight various approaches and experiences applicable to the studio environment as well as sharing personal approaches to pitching and storytelling.

Inspired by the hiring and in-studio process of many animation studios, participants will be offered the opportunity to storyboard a small script extract on beforehand, and some participants will get the chance to pitch during the masterclass. Kayvon will give feedback to the pitches, to the inspiration for all participants to use for future pitch sessions.

The masterclass is rounded off by Kayvon sharing valuable industry insights and a Q&A session thereafter.

Currently based and working in Dublin, Ireland Kayvon Darabi-Fard also teaches at The Animation Workshop as part of the 12-week Storyboard course, which has served as a stepping-stone to a career in storyboarding for many animators.
