Boostcamp is a camp for young people located on the autism spectrum arranged by Specialområde Autisme, Region Midt. The project aims to research whether and to what extent children with autism can find the production of animations useful for their learning, self-experience, and social interaction skills. The Boostcamp project ran over 10 days with an aim to give the participants an awareness of their own situation, their rights, and socialize with other youngsters that have the same conditions. Topics discussed included Senses and autism, Citizenship, Resilience, and Identity as a person with autism. Afternoon sessions included activities such as watching movies, taking walks, quizzes, board games, and producing animateion. Ipads with Stopmotion studio installed served as the production unit; while different animation techniques were presented, like cut-out, collage, and stop motion with toys and figures.
