Minister of Higher Education and Science Christina Egelund talks with third-year Computer Graphic Arts student James Harlow.
TAW had the great pleasure of welcoming the Minister for Higher Education and Science Christina Egelund, along with Lise Bertelsen, Martin Sanderhoff and Stine Damborg.
Software engineer with XR focus
The minister had the opportunity to explore our unique international study community, meet our students and to visit the fairly new software engineer with XR focus education that opened at TAW last summer.
TAW was glad to show the new education and the synergies growing between software engineer with XR focus and our existing bachelor programmes: Character Animation, Computer Graphic Arts and Graphic Storytelling. The potential to develop tomorrow's competencies through applied animation for the benefit of the business community, healthcare, and the education system is immense. A focus that underlines the importance of having a national center for research, development and innovation in the digital visual industries.

A unique environment
We are very happy that the minister took the opportunity to visit and acknowledge the unique, international community here at The Animation Workshop -community that will only strengthen with the new reform.
“Its a privilege to welcome Christina Egelund to The Animation Workshop shortly after the new reform for the university colleges has been signed, and I was particularly happy to show her how our educations have already put in use many of the aspects the new reform wishes to strengthen.”
- Kasper Kruse, Head of The Animation Workshop.
