ANIDOX:LAB residency 2026

The new call for applications for ANIDOX:LAB residency 2026 is now open! Here is everything you need to know to apply.

Lab Residency is a tailor-made professional training programme for documentary and animation creatives, directors, producers, and interdisciplinary professionals with an animated documentary project in development. Participants will explore new ways of storytelling through hands-on workshops, seminar, expert mentorship, and collaborative exchange - culminating in a live pitch. From shaping an initial idea to building a compelling narrative, pitch package, and trailer, the residency supports every stage of development. At the same time, it opens the door to emerging formats, including non-linear and XR storytelling.

We welcome intermediary and senior animation and documentary directors, game creators, emerging media artists, creative producers, and collaborative teams, ready to challenge their practice and expand into new visual territories. Teams (for example: director/producer, director/designer, director/writer) are encouraged to apply (Note: applications submitted individually).
