Conference on November 27th
-----
Sci-Vi is an initiative at The Animation Workshop/Via University College seeking to explore and unfold visual science dissemination as a field, to improve science communication through visual storytelling and animation.
-----
The Sci-Vi Conference facilitates knowledge exchange and networking between researchers and visual storytellers.

The Sci-Vi Conference on November 27th is an annual event for the digital creative industry packed with innovative ideas and knowledge within one of the most complex fields: Research and science dissemination.

Research and science dissemination is a major adaption to the current media landscape, where sitting down and immersing yourself in research is the exception rather than the norm.

The flow of information on current mainstream media dictates the rules, and disseminating research and science through animation is one of the most effective means.

This adaption and how it works is exactly what the Sci-Vi Conference goes in depth with, and you're invited!

The conference is focusing on these issues:

  • Can cooperation between researchers and visual storytellers strengthen research dissemination and to what level?
  • How can we use narratives when we communicate research?
  • What is the relationship between the visual and cognition?
  • How do we strengthen the cooperation between scientists and visual storytellers? -incl. examples of partnerships.
