Speaker profiles:

Andy Warner:
Andy Warner creates nonfiction comics. He is the author of Spring Rain, This Land is My Land, and the NY Times Best Selling Brief Histories of Everyday Objects. He is a contributing editor at The Nib and teaches cartooning at Stanford University and the Animation Workshop in Denmark. His work has been published by Slate, Fusion, American Public Media, popsci.com, KQED, IDEO.org, The Center for Constitutional Rights, UNHCR, UNRWA, UNICEF, and Buzzfeed. He was a recipient of the 2018 Berkeley Civic Arts Grant and the 2019 Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park Artist-in-Residency.

Sofie Riise Nors:
Sofie graduated from Design School Kolding in 2017 with a BA of fine arts, in Communication Design. After her graduation, she has become quite a prominent feminist profile in Denmark, gaining followers on her Instagram account Waginapineapple where she recreates mainstream and original memes with her illustrations. In 2019 she debuted as a book illustrator at danish publishing house Gyldendal, with the feminist debate book Gode Kasser, written by popular acting duo Ditte & Louise. The combination of her feminist practice and work as an illustrator has turned her art into a personal brand, and political NGOs such as the Danish “Sex & Samfund” (Sex & Society) as well as the National Museum of Art have urged to collaborate with her. She is currently working on her first comic book that will be released at Danish publishing house Cobolt on the International Women’s day, march 8. 2021.

Brian Woodward:
Brian Woodward is an award-winning communications advisor, journalist and copywriter based in Aarhus, Denmark. With a rare balance of creativity, strategic thinking and industry know-how, he has worked with over 100 Danish and international organizations. His approach typically draws upon inspiration and tactics from traditional advertising, journalism, PR, architectural expression, illustration and film to create integrated campaigns and projects that build brands and create competitive advantage.
