  • Teachers

    Peter Meldgaard

    Peter Meldgaard

Peter Meldgaard is educated as a Computer Graphics Artist at The Animation Workshop. He works as an illustrator and graphics designer for video games, and organizes art and game related events.

In his teaching he seeks to keep people in the design phase for longer, by giving out many short assignments rather than a few long ones. He enjoys framing and limiting exercises in surprising ways, as to challenge the problem solving part of his students' brains.

  • Housing

All summer course participants are offered free accommodation at the school during the course in the following ways:

    • in simple shared dorms, youth camp style: sleeping bags and camping mats/air mattresses on the floor of designated rooms (bring your own equipment)
    • tent outside of the school (bring your own tent and equipment)

There will be access to showers every morning in a nearby sport facility.

We have space enough for everyone, but participants are asked to sign up for the dorms and tent spots for us to be able to prepare adequately.

Participants who prefer a different kind of accommodation are asked to book alternative accommodation in town at their own cost.

We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack in the afternoon on all course days, except for the half days. On the first day, we serve dinner in the evening, and on the last day we serve breakfast as well as a sandwich for lunch, which can also be enjoyed on the go if you are busy to catch a train/bus. These meals are included in the course fee. You can choose between mixed and vegan diet.

Please note that there is a small risk that The Animation Workshop/VIA University College will not be able to offer accommodation for this year’s summer courses, should there be unexpected changes in the national risk assessment due to COVID 19. In such a case, we will inform those who signed up for the course as quickly as possible.
