The Animation Workshop conducted 3 masterclasses in Bhutan, focusing on both traditional knowledge and new technological trends. The purpose of the project was network development and preparation for upcoming VR and animation projects in Bhutan.

    Masterclasses in Drawing, Design, Comics and VR for Bhutanese artists.

    Three Master classes were held in spring 2019 in Thimbu, Bhutan, together with the local collaboration partners Ibest, VAST and FabLab.

    The topics of the classes were

    1. Masterclass in Comics and Design.
    2. Master class in Drawing.
    3. Demonstration of Virtual Reality.

    Drawing and Design is core knowledge for animation and VR is a promising technology for future gaming, simulation and information. The scope of the project was furthermore to build network and contacts to establish the best foundation for doing upcoming VR and animation projects in Bhutan.
