Greenland animators, storytellers and producers participate in master classes where they develop stories and visual design for modern versions of narratives and legends from the Greenlandic folklore.

    Masterclasses in Nuuk, Greenland, to develop the capacity for future production of Greenlandic animation stories.

    Project activities fall into three different categories.

    1. STORYTELLING & STORYLINES Master Class by Aïda del Solar for storytellers and writers wishing to push their skills towards a professional level in animation writing. Development of stories and storylines based on the legends described in “Bestarium Groenlandica”.
    2. VISUAL CHARACTERS & UNIVERSES, Master Class by Louis Thomas. Development of characters and visual universes based on the legends described in “Bestarium Groenlandica”. Each animator experiments, aiming to create strong animation design that enables the characters from Greenland mythology to function in a modern setting as a TV-serie, a game or a feature film.
    3. PRODUCTION PIPELINE AND FINANCING by Lilian Klages. The master class will go through the two most essential elements in the life of the animation producer: a) Pipeline planning and management for different visual genres of animation projects. B) International financing of TV-series and feature films.

    Participants : 15 Greenland animators, illustrators, storytellers and producers
