  • About

Animation workshops for children and youth in Cairo, Egypt

Mini Cairo 3 was a collaborative project with participating media artists from Cairo, Munich and Denmark. The aim of the project was to educate children and young people about education and occupation within the areas of media production, as well as to give them good and positive experiences, developing their creative, collaborative and narrative skills.

On the project, the children learned the basics of animation in order to realize their own small visual media projects. This encouraged them to use media actively, rather than just using it in a receptive or consumptive manner. This open pedagogical concept allowed the children to find their own, personal voice, making their first critical experiences through animation production.
