Step 4: Pay application Fee - Non-EU students

Applicants from non-EU countries who do not hold a Danish residence permit, have to pay an application fee.

Who has to pay application fee?

Citizens from non-EU/EEA countries, who do not hold a Danish residence permit, which gives the right to study in Denmark for free. The application fee is a one-time payment of DKK 1,125 (EUR 150).

When and how do you pay?

  • The fee must be paid when you send your application.
  • You only pay once, no matter how many study programmes you apply for.
  • Payment is made online via the payment form here.

The application fee payment deadline is the same as the application deadline.

Important: We do not assess your application until you have paid the application fee, and if you do not pay, your application will be rejected.

Fee deduction and refund policy

  • If you get a study place and accept it, the application fee will be deducted from your first-year tuition fee.
  • If you do not accept or decline an offer, if you are not admitted or cancel your application, the application fee will not be refunded.
